This paper studied on the effects of changes in the international situation after the end of the old War which may be considered to be an environmental variable and the tendency toward lobalization on the foreign policy of the North Korea. The temporal scope of the study include the pursuit of changes by the North Korea and their foreign policy. The discussion was developed from a review of changes in the situation in the international society and moved toward a review of whether the phenomena of globalization led to the pursuit of changes by the North Korea affecting the direction of the foreign policy or strategy of the North Korea. And then, the prospect of the foreign policies of the North Korea resulting from these changes in the international situation was reviewed.
When viewed through this writing, after the end of the Cold War, the North Korea has been stimulated to change their foreign policies by changes in the international situation or by the tendency toward globalization. The direction of the North Korean politics was switched toward reformation and opening by changes in the international situation or by the tendency toward globalization and that was reflected on their foreign policies and such changes in external environments worked as a determinant in their foreign policy. Therefore, the foreign policy of the North Korea will be continuously changed by changes in their external environments and this exogenous environmental variable will work as a factor in determining the scope or direction of their new foreign policies.
