In 1371 when Liaoyi of Pingjang surrendered, Ming entered Liaodong to disturb existing order in the district greatly. Ming’s entry into Liaodong made not only Koryo Kingdom but also Nagachu fall into state of tension and to check Ming. Such a sign of change was found at Han Bang-eon’s mission march to Ming through Liaodong in 1371. In other words, in 1369 when Koryo Kingdom did envoy march by sea upon Ming Dynasty’s request after establishing diplomatic relations with Ming, Koryo Kingdom suddenly made Han Bang-eon go to Geumreung through Liaodong without Ming’s permission.
Ju Won-jang blamed Han Bang-eon plainly for late arrival because of detection of information of Liaoyang and Ugajang. Ju Won-jang’s suspicion was persuasive considering the fact that Han Bang-eon envoy’s route was place where Ming Dynasty entering Liaodong built up military bases. In particular, Ugajang with Ming’s supply base was defense base to evidence Koryo envoy’s goal of investigation into Ming’s military activities in Liaonan. Not only Liaoyi’s surrender but also Han Bang-eon’s envoy march through Liaodong under organic relations and confrontation between Yuan and Ming at the end of the 14th century had great impact upon East Asia. Liaoyi’s surrender helped Koryo Kingdom make an alliance with Nagachu.
