Nosema disease is one of adult honey bee disease causes significantly economic losses to the beekeepers in the worlds. In Viet Nam this disease was found on both native honey bee Apis cerana and exotic honey bee Apis mellifera. In this paper honey bee Apis cerana samples collected from 2008 to 2010 from 3 provinces representing for beekeeping in 3 regions north, center and south of Viet Nam were checked for the presence of Nosema spores and Nosema species. Our study results were showed that Nosema spores to be found on Apis cerana colonies in almost provinces however, the number of Nosema spores per worker bees and the percentages of infected colonies between provinces were different. The number of spores per bee in the south in August (410,000±145,163 spores) was the highest, the next in the north in May and the lowest in the center in November were 75,417±40,354 spores and 53,333±30,266 spores respectively. The percentage of infected colonies in the south (30.30±13.20%) was the highest, of these in the north and center were 15.47 ±8.50% and 15.70±8.87% respectively. By multiplex PCR Nosema spores on Apis cerana colonies which have been detected belonging to Nosema ceranae.
