This study selected the study subjects of 480 university students who are taking physical education course as cultural subject in the universities in Seoul, ChoongcheongProvince, and Daegu area. To verify the effect of their leisure function on communication ability and self-expression behavior, this study conducted multiple linear regressions using SPSS 15.0. The study result is as follow, First, following to based on gender the verification of recreational features, communication skills, self-expression validation results, from all the elements, men benefit more than women. The women`s ability to communicate impressions is much higher than men, but strictly speaking, there is 110 different with acting self-expression. In addition, the controlling of recreational features are showed that 2, 3 and 4 grade have benefit significantly more than first grade, but communications of self-expression ability had no significant difference in behavior, Second, leisure confidence among leisure functions appears to affect careful listening skill in communication ability, self-exposure, and relationship formation. Leisure control ability has significant effect on self-exposure, relationship formation, and empathy formation. In addition, leisure admiration has significant effect on self-exposure. Third, the effect of leisure function on self-expression behavior shows that leisure confidence and leisure admiration have significant effect self-expression behavior. In addition, leisure control ability and leisure admiration have significant effect on passive self-expression behavior.
