This study was to observe the relationship between female students` participation in sports activities after-school, somatic symptoms, and school adjustment. In order to examine this, 453 female middle and high school students were selected using random sampling method, and their data were analyzed through t-test, ANOVA, Multiple Regression Analysis. The results are as follows: First, there were significant differences in somatic symptoms and school adjustment, depending on individual female student`s characteristic. Secondly, whether the female student participated in sports activities after-school had a significant impact on school adjustment. It was found that the frequency of the participation affected relationship with other teachers or classmates, and the duration impacted school adjustment as well as whether the student obeyed the school rules. Third, whether the female student participated in sports activities after-school, and its duration and frequency had significant impacts on somatic symptoms. Fourth, somatic symptoms had negative impacts on the variables that are, in order of, relationship with classmates, teachers, school rules, and school classes. Finally, it wasconcluded that the degree of Sports activities after-school participation, somatic symptoms and school adjustment were all related.
