The purpose of this study was to analyze the reasons why the housewives join bowling club, to identify the relationship with life satisfaction and to find out the ways to improve the quality of life of the housewives through bowling. The ultimate goal would be the maintenance and improvement of happiness and health of home. For the purpose of this study 169 copies of the questionnaires were distributed to bowling club members containing the questions of 8 factors (internal motivation, external motivation and no motivation). They were analyzed according to the characteristics of the responders such as age, education, experiences and number of participation. spss 12.0 program was used and t-test and One way ANOVA were performed to verify the test results. The results are as follows. first, age was strongly related with stress removal factors, social and friendly factors from external factors and no motivation. Second, education was highly related with the characteristics of club, physical strength and health improvement factors and social and friendly factors. Third, experiences were related with skill improvement and social and friendly factors. Fourth, number of participation was related with skill improvement, diet from external factors and then no motivation. Fifth, reason to join and life satisfaction made big influence on skill improvement from internal motivation, characteristics of club from external motivation, and diet. In other words, to maintain the relationship between the motivation to join bowling club and life satisfaction of the housewives positively, internal and external motivation are very important.
