This is to study about the cultural application of the Korean ideology of "Hongik in"gan" in the globalization period. This ideology not only respects, above all, humanism(人本主義), but emphasizes on the principle of mutual respect(相互尊重), equality(平等), peace(平和), and harmonious cooperation(和合) for human prosperity as the commonwealth ideology(大同主義). It also stresses that peoples should be taught and influenced by goodness, and should put moral ideologies into practice through decorums (禮節) and moral life(規範生活). According to a time-honored traditional ideology of Hongik in"gan, whenever faced by national disasters or enemies" invasions, Korea has always overcome difficulties through national cooperation. Finally, the directions of cultural globalization based on the ideology of "Hongik in"gan will propose not only to discover, manage, develop the traditional culture, but also to sublimate global culture.
