In this study, we carried out three dimensional kinematic analysis for the one-hand jump shot. The subjects were three women basketball players in the forward position who were 172 to 177 centimeters tall. The purpose of the study was to present data that could be used for technical instruction of the jump shot by examining trajectory variables and the features of joint movements. The conclusions are as follows: 1. The COG of body was 1.232±0.089 cm at RP and 1.305±0.067cm at PK. Thus, it can de said that all the subjects had released the balls before they reached PK. 2. The angle of release was 56.433±7.452˚ and the angle of arrangement was 14.133±3.972˚ and the velocity of release was 6.883±0.187. 3. The angular variations of the shoulder joint, the elbow joint and the wrist joint at RP were 143.90 ±1.709˚. 141.37±2.656˚ and 133.20±4.293˚. Thus, it can be said that the subjects made shots with less shoulder and wrist motions and more elbow motion. 4. The angular velocity at RP was 802.33degree/s at the elbow joint, 422.23degree/s at the shoulder joint and 188.00degree/s at the wrist joint. 5. The angular variation at TO was 168.83±5.532˚ at the heap joint, 164.00±6.351˚ at the knee joint and 128.33±4.521˚ at the ankle joint. 6. The angular velocity at TO was 175.257±31.120degree/s at the heap joint, 346.33±78.106degree/s at the knee joint and 341.87±27.931degree/s at the ankle joint.
