The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of the participation motivation of university students participating in the winter school giving lessons on ski which is the typical event of winter leisure sports and satisfaction with participation on re-participation intentions. The study subjects were 100 university students each participating in two resorts (K and B) based in Gyeonggi Province, Korea, totaling 200, on whom questionnaire survey was conducted. Also, t-test, one-way ANOVA was conducted to analyze the study subject according to their characteristic using SPSS14.0 Hangul version and regression analysis was carried out to identify what effect the participation motivation and satisfaction with participation have on repeat participations. The findings of this study led to the following conclusion: Firstly, this study investigated the degree of recognition of each factor according to the characteristic of university students participating in the winter ski school and as a result, freshmen`s participation motivation appeared to be higher than sophomore`s in subordinate factors; that is, sociality and human relations. As for psychological satisfaction which is a subordinate factor of participation satisfaction, university students to enjoy hobbies were shown to be higher than those to acquire technologies and the recognition of those in the first year and the third one to be higher than those in the fourth: Secondly, the higher the motivation of university students to participate in the ski school was, the more positive effect it appeared to have on participation satisfaction: Thirdly, the higher university students` participation motivation and satisfaction was higher, the higher their re-participation intentions were shown to be.
