This study was intended to analyze the priority of supports for professional athletics of the disabled, and thereby seek a development direction. To achieve the purpose, t his study was conducted on 24 disabled people who participated in 1988 Seoul Paralympic Games as national athletes. Based on the priority of supports for professional athletics of the disabled surveyed by Korean Paralympic Committee (2010), this researcher performed an analysis on each layer of the priority. With the analysis results, this study was aimed at providing a fundamental material to prepare a plan helping develop the professional physical training for the disabled in consideration of actuality and field environments. The study results and discussions are presented as follows: first, regarding the improvement in training system, what mattered most was to organize a business team.; secondly, regarding the support by affiliated bodies, what was the most important was to resolve the issue of ambiguity roles that each group depending on a type of game and central affiliated members; thirdly, regarding the cultivation of professional instructors and support, wat mattered most was to select the disabled who used to be national athletes or those who used to be elite athletes as professional instructors; fourthly, regarding the cultivation of professional human resources and support of information sharing, what mattered most was to train athletes and their physical force, and analyze motions , and cultivate researchers; fifthly, regarding the improvement in the facilities for athletics, what was the most important was to add and secure the convenient facilities for the disabled into general facilities for physical training; sixthly, regarding the system to select national athletes, what mattered most was to conduct objective and systematic selection tests; seventhly, regarding the improvement in pension and prize system, what mattered most was to expand games in which pension would be provided as a prize; eighthly, regarding the promotion of the sports of the disabled, what mattered most was to broadcast sports of the disabled through mass media; and ninthly, regarding the priority of the upper factors, what matter most was to improve pension and prize system.
