This study serves its purpose to investigate the differences of watching characteristics and behaviors of professional baseball relay broadcast on college students` characteristic and participation. The subject was set to 260 college students in Seoul and metropolitan area, and total of 244 subjects were used in the actual analysis. Collected data, using SPSS Ver. 12.0, was analyzed through frequency analysis, factor analysis and reliability analysis for demographic analysis. After the process of cross tabulation and One Way-ANOVA, the following conclusion was deducted. Time spent on watching professional baseball relay broadcast on ly noticeably differed between gender and grades, not on majors. In addition, method of watching noticeably differed on genders, not on grades or majors. Moreover, time spent watching relay broadcast on participation showed noticeable difference in behavioral, cognitive, and affective participation. Method of watchi ng the relay also showed differences on all three kinds of participation.
