In the age of globalization, the experience of hosting various mega international sports events and hav-ing diverse experience obtained from the international sports relationships have become one of significant motivators in emphasizing the importance of global abilities of outstanding sportsmen, the coming to the fore of such importance as the needs of the times means that the consciousness for presence and responsibility improvement of sports departments began to move. Cultivating talented sportsmen with strengthened global abilities for the future has significance in that it shows how younger generations in the Korean sports commu-nity live and adjust themselves to the future society, and it requires education paradigm shift in physical educa-tion departments to train talented and globalized sportsmen as a future growth engine. For the Korean sports community facing the globalization era, educating sportsmen with global abilities is an urgent task. For this, it is necessary to define the sportsmen with global abilities, and clarify their roles. In particular, the education should focus on cultivating sportsmen who combine extensive experience with theoretical background on the nature of the sport, and the sports department professionally strengthening sportsmen`s global abilities with the curriculum to communicate with a variety of fields should be opened for the further competitive Korean sports community having a wealth of globalized outstanding sportsmen.
