The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status and problems of the traditional culture education, and search for the improvement plan to its supporting systems.
In 2003, although the Ministry of Culture & Tourism and the Ministry of Education & Human Resources made cooperating efforts to improve the problem of the Cultural Art Education, there is no effective reform to this very day because of the competitive society.
And so, this study researched how the contemporary Ministry of Culture & Tourism and the Ministry of Education & Human Resources should make the policy foundations in order to invigorate the traditional culture education.
The plans for the establishment of policy foundations is generally divided in an administrative sense into plans for the construction of the suppport and collaboration systems, and the legal basis that can carry out the affair supporting activities to energize the traditional culture education.
To vitalize the traditional culture education, resources such as the Ministry of Culture & Tourism’s cultural art sectorial budget, labor force, facilities, etc. needs to be efficiently combined within the branch of the traditional culture education, which the Ministry of Education & Human Resources currently manages.
Additionally, the existing Support for Arts and Culture Education Act needs to be reconstructed to prepare a specific realization plan as the special law to empower the traditional culture education.
Many supporting systems of the government department and regional groups’ long-term cooperation systems pertinent to traditional culture education should be established via these policy reforms.
