Augustine`s cosmo-ontology, which specially appears in his book, Confessions, and partially in The City of God, contains important postmodern theological ideas, which could provide alternative ways to the challenge of postmodern secular spirit. Among many issues, the scope of this essay is limited to the four key aspects of the postmodern theological interpretations of Augustine`s cosmo-ontology. These selected ideas for postmodern theology of radical orthodoxy are four aspects. The first issue is to deal with overcoming the limitations of Western understanding of subjectivity with ontological identity of human being as a created being of desire, which is the desire for having right relationship with God. The second issue is to interpret the world and identity of the objects as relational events rather than individual entities. Identity does not belong to individual entity because there is no such a individual entity but relational event of the universe. The third issue is to interpret the epistemological knowledge of truth as an aesthetic dimension. There is no knowledge of truth as such but there are aesthetic experiences in the relation of events. The last is to interpret the universe as one Divine world, and there are no other dimension. This essay generally agrees with and appreciates postmodern radical orthodoxy`s endeavor and interpretation of Augustine`s thought to surpass the challenges of postmodern secular spirit. But there is one critical issue of the one dimensional world view. This essay claims that postmodern radical orthodoxy theology failed to have a one dimensional world view, which logically does not mesh with Augustine, in that he did not believe one world but two cities.
