This study pays attention to the emergence of the migrant media activists and a migrant media as known as MWTV (Migrant Woker`s TV) in Korea. The migrant media activists were migrant workers before, but now they actively have engaged in media works concerning various migrant workers` issues as PDs, anchors, reporters, journalists without migrant working any more. This phenomena looks like a part of multi-culturalism in Korea but actually it doesn`t. This is about the matter of migrant workers` life and their identity (or representation of their identity). This study regards their activities and the migrant workers` issues (or matters) in Korea as the matter of bio-politics and politics of identity. Increasing the number of migrant workers, Korean government considered the overflow of the migrants as the risk of nation-state because it could break down the boundary of the nation-state and the citizenship. In conclusion, the nation-state needed to set up the policy of the migrant worker and forced them to be expelled from Korea. In this respect, the deportation or the crackdown policy against the migrant workers means new way of governance in order to control its population and practice to degrade them to ``Homo sacer`` or ``bare life.`` Using media such like TV and internet, migrant media activists resist the violence of the nation-state which degrades them to Homo sacer or bare life and carry out their various activities to achieve their rights. As PDs, anchors, reporters and journalists not the migrant workers, they try to solve migrant worker`s matters or problems in their view and reveal the unreasonable migrant worker policy continuously through the media. In the media, migrant media activists demand the government and Korean society to change its attitude concerned with migrant workers and to correct its distorted view and they call for the recognition of their social rights. This study could examine their subjectivity and empowerment by tracing the process or the details in which they became social being from bare life and showing their legitimate rights which they argue as workers and ``new residents.``
