This study was conducted in order to analyze how family strength perceived by mothers affects their parenting self-efficacy and their young children"s resilience, and ultimately to examine the potential characteristics of family strength related to mothers" parenting self-efficacy and their young children"s resilience. For this study, 129 young children at early childhood educational institutions in G City and their mothers were sampled as the subjects of research, and data were collected from the mothers about family strength and parenting self-efficacy, and from class teachers about the children"s resilience. According to the results of this study, family strength in "sense of solidarity", "value and goal sharing" and "problem-solving ability" had an effect on mothers" parenting self-efficacy, and family strength in "sense of solidarity" and "value and goal sharing" had an effect on young children"s resilience. Accordingly, an enhanced sense of solidarity among family members and the sharing of values and goals are expected to bring positive changes to mothers" parenting self-efficacy and their young children"s resilience. Based on the results, the need for efforts and support at diverse levels was discussed.
