A Study on the Effects of the Mothers’ Parenting Style andMothers’ Parenting Efficacy on Child’s AnxietyHyunju Lim Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of parenting style and mothers’ parenting efficacy on child’s anxiety. The data of 1,289 child and mothers were extracted from the 7th Panel Study on Korean Children. The reliability of the test tool was confirmed by Cronbach’s value. The data were analyzed with methods of the stepwised regression analysis. The analysis results were as follows. Firstly, mothers’ parental anxiety impacted on child’s anxiety by 6.7%. Secondly, Mothers’ warm parenting style on child’s anxiety by 0.9%. Among these influences, mothers’ parental anxiety showed positive effects, and mothers’ warm parenting style had a negative effect. Through this, it was found that efforts to positively enhance the mothers’ warm parenting style and to reduce mothers’ parental anxiety are necessary for the positive child’s development.
