Silla`s development of military strategy was later than Goguryoe`s and Baekje`s. However, Silla could develop its military power through long experience and relationship with outsiders. In the 6th century, Yisabu beat the kingdom of Woosan and Gara with psychological warfare and trickery. Besides, He captured Dosalsung and Gumhyunsung with trickery while Goguryeo and Baekje were tired in 550.
Silla had sense of crisis of Baekje after the lose of the Daeyasung Battle. Silla built the Silla-Tang military cooperation system to deal with Goguryeo-Baekje cooperation. Even though Silla asked the military support from Tang, Sila did not get it. However, it was supposed that Tang gave Silla its weapon and tactics. In the 7th century, Silla destroyed Baekje`s line of defence with trickery. Silla escaped from catastrophe with the carrot-and-trick strategy during Silla-Tang War. Moreover, with the marine strategy, Silla commanded the western sea so that it lead Silla-Tang War.
Silla also used various tactics such as the distributed arrangement tactics, the surprise attack, the one man rush attack, the canalize tactics, the camouflage tactics, the converted spies tactics, the inward spies tactics. One of these, the One Man Rush Attack was a very unique tactic which was seen in no other place but Silla, and it was related to spiritual combat power reinforcement. Those were from the early war experiences and the new military knowledge. Those were better than Silla`s in before the 7th century. It was the reason why Silla became the winner out of the Three Kingdoms.
Silla wanted to overcome their inferiority as compared with Goguryeo and Baekje. Therefore, Silla tired to reinforce not only the diplomatic strategy but also military capability. Silla reinforced its military power developing the military tactics and the weapon system so that Silla unified three kingdoms and beat the Tang in Silla-Tang War.
