The Primary purpose of this dissertation is to provide a solid gospel message through studying D. James Kennedy’s gospel message. In fact, most christians practice evangelism without the biblical gospel message. Thus, the gospel message based on biblically, theologically, and practically sound is needed in church context.
In order to fill up this need, this dissertation suggests how
Kennedy, first, asserted the gospel message’s importance. Second, it discloses Kennedy’s gospel message based on Evangelism Explosion. He delivered the gospel of 1) grace; 2) man; 3) God; 4) Jesus Christ; 5) and faith. After that, he required the commitment to Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord. So, I study Kennedy’s gospel message through following the sequence of such five words and commitment. In conclusion, I not only evaluate his gospel message, but also annalize it by biblical, theological, and practical views.
