The post-breeding migratory movement of a juvenile Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea) was studied using a satellite transmitter in 2014. The results document the bird using a previously unknown migration strategy, such as a northward dispersal to search for pre-migratory feeding areas prior to its autumn migration, a long stopover during the migration, and wintering in a region at the same latitude as that of the Republic of Korea.
