The purpose of this study is to suggest a solution of problem of exterior residential environment which is getting worse groping the traditional geography of Feng-shui to exterior circumstances. Also this study tried to conceptualize exterior residential environment as an element of contemporary residential environment applying to the traditional geographical theory of Feng-shui. Sashinsa in traditional geography of Feng-shui is regarded in the same category with educational elements, environmental elements, economic elements and traffic elements in present-day. A concept of Sashinsa could be extended to meet the contemporary residential concept and stretched the meaning on a logical basis.Feng-shui as a traditional geography should be turned positive and widely spread to present-day as an empiric and practical science rather than dying out or extinction. Especially Feng-shui is parallel to modern geography that put stress on the concept of geographic space and has to expand the scope of science by putting forth a multilateral solidarity and research on the proximity sciences that mainly deal with residential environment.
