This study is about the perceptions and demand characteristics of share house which is combined with the increase in one-person households. The method is to examine the characteristics of the share house, and survey for one-person households. The results of this study are as follows. First, the share house can be planned with a variety of models that reflect one-person households and lifestyle. Second, the majority of one-person households are aware of the need of share house, and it is important to establish the correct perception and concepts about share house. Third, since the preference types of share house seen different according to the demographic characteristics, there needs to be some of development of appropriate models for that. Fourth, there is a high expectation of share house which has expected items and necessary spaces. If can suggest some alternatives for the housing expense and the need of community which is emerging as a problem in one-person households.
