The purpose of study is to suggest the importance of storytelling as an instrument for solving massification of festival and standardized festival by using different strategy of regional festival. The study empirically tests the reciprocal relations among key variables including storytelling of local festival, flow and satisfaction. Data were collected with a structured questionnaire at the 85th chunhyang festival of Nam-won, 320 samples were used for statistical analysis. As a result is presented as follows: first of all, storytelling factor consist of interactive, story, expression factor. In the second place, a storytelling, as an element of festivals had a strong positive influence on the festival flow and consumer satisfaction. The influence is the elements of interaction, stories, and expression in the order named. The third, flow of festival had considerable impact on the festival satisfaction. The results of this study can provide insights for festival organizers that planning a festival with the storytelling of festival and operating a flow of festival with the satisfaction for participants. Consequently, the proposed theoretical framework of the study was useful in programs management in local festival. The findings of the study provide practical implications about a consideration for improvement of local festival in Korea. Also, a critical need of consistent local positive research on festival storytelling flow arose and an attempt to study the origin of festival storytelling programs is needed.
