The purpose of this study is to examine the recent research trendsrelated to changes in the female labor market from gender perspectives. After the economic crises in 1997 and 2008, female labor force has expanded around the social services sector, depending on job creation policy of the government. As the results, though the medium wage group has been expanded, teens’ and older women’s low-wage have been deepening, and the gender wage gap has been sustained. Particularly as the chances of women to high-wage jobs of the internal labor market in large company, women workers have fixed on small businesses. Regarding these women workers’ conditions, this article discusses eight key issues: women’s career break, corporate internal labor market, work-family reconciliation policy, social service jobs, part-time employment, occupational gender segregations, irregular workers, and women in labor unions. After looking at these issues, this article suggests the strategies of the government, the companies and the civil society to improve the working conditions of women workers and reduce the gender gap.
