This study examined the influencing relationship of the feminine attractiveness of participants and non-participants of pilates on the quality of life. Moreover, this study also examined whether the self-esteem between the two variables would have mediating effect. To verify the research problems, this study utilized a total of 520 people (270 pilates participants and 250 non-participants) who were attending the fitness clubs located in the capital region. This study used 239 copies from the participants and 180 copies from the non-participants for the final statistical analysis by excluding those incomplete questionnaires having no value as research data or having abnormal data. This study conducted frequency analysis using SPSS WIN 21.0 program. Moreover, this study also conducted independent sample t-test in order to determine the differences in feminine attractiveness, self-esteem and quality of life depending on whether the study subjects participated in pilates program or not. Then, this study conducted correlation analysis by calculating the mean, standard deviation, kurtosis and skewness of variables. In addition, this study conducted single regression analysis and multiple regression analysis on the three-phase condition proposed by Baron & Kenny (1986) in order to find whether self-esteem would play a mediation role for feminine attractiveness and quality of life. The conclusion resulting from the analysis thereof is as follows. First, the group having participated in the pilates program had a high degree of difference in feminine attractiveness, self-esteem and quality of life than the group not having participated in the pilates program. Second, personal physical attractiveness, self-esteem and quality of life had a positive impact in mutually influencing relationship as a result of participation in the pilates program. Third, this study verified the mediation role of self-esteem between personal physical attractiveness and quality of life. As a result thereof, a high degree of personal physical attractiveness of pilates program participants did not have direct impact on quality of life. Moreover, self-esteem played complete mediation role making all effects go through self-esteem. The personal physical attractiveness of non-participants played partial mediation role making direct impact on quality of life via self-esteem.
