The purpose of this study was to analyze a casual relationship of social-economic status, leisure sport activity and happiness of the New silver generation as using the national wide date collected for the survey on citizen"s sports participation by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Institute of Sport Science in 2015.
In order to achieve the goal, a total of 3,397 adult who were more than 50 years old was selected for empirical analysis by using SPSS ver.18 and we assumed a casual model including those three variables; social economic status as the independent variable, leisure sport activity as the mediate variable and happiness as the dependent variable, so the following conclusion was obtains through statistical analysis. The social economic status and leisure sport activity variables had positive effect on happiness of the new generation and researchers finally found that the leisure sport activity was the most influencing variable through the comparison analysis of direct and indirect effect.
