Report Errors
The objective of this study is to examine the trends in international hotel research in four leading hospitality and tourism journals, published between 1994 and 2016, using social network analysis and text mining approaches. In this study, we use the abstracts of 706 articles, which include the word "hotel" in their titles, in the four international hospitality journals (Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Tourism Management). The results show that the research subjects were mainly "employee" and "customer‘. The topic modeling results indicate that "web site" is an emerging research topic, showing information and communication technology (ICT) is increasingly playing an important role in this domain. Lastly, this study provides suggestions for future research.
