This study analyzed the changes of record, fatigue material and body composition following training detraining and Retraining. The male modern pentathlon athletes(n=14) in high school and university student have been trained for over 24weeks dividing into 2 group, which are high school pupil group(HS, n=7) and university student group(US, n=7) for determine the effect on detraining and retraining. Fatigue material was measured on blood lactic acid, lactate dehydrogenase and ammonia. Body composition was also evaluated by fat mass(kg) and lean body mass(kg), and Record was using 3,000m run before posttest, and again after 2 weeks and 4 weeks of detraining and again after 4weeks of retraining. All date were expressed as mean and standard deviations by using SPSS window 11.0 package program, and were analyzed by using one-way ANOVA to evaluate the change of within groups and were analyzed using t-test to evaluate the difference of between groups, and two-way ANOVA was operated to examine interacting effect for between groups and each measuring time. For the post-test, Duncan was employed. These statistical processes were all performed at the significant level of .05. the results of the study can be described as follows. 1) Blood lactic acid, lactate dehydrogenase and ammonia appeared high at every time from both groups compared to the time of post. As for difference of between groups, US appeared higher than HS at 2 weeks and 4 weeks of detraining. 2) Fat mass appeared high at every time from both groups compared to the time of post. As for difference of between groups, US appeared higher than HS at 4 weeks of detraining. 3) Lean body mass appeared high at every time from both groups compared to the time of post. As for difference of between groups, US appeared higher than HS at 4 weeks of detraining. Therefore when HS and US detraining US appeared to give more fatigue, fat mass, and record decreased than HS. So, during detraining should be decreased to rest period, and control to fat mass.
