With the advancement of digital technology, the work dynamics of the 21st century has changed from the vertically ordered to the horizontal and independent. Such a change has resulted in continuous role changes, and both human and material resources demand a new work environment to survive those changes.
In our study, we conceptualized the flexibility of nomadic thinking and applied that flexibility to coworking space. Given that nomadic thinking is characterized, with regard to a space, by flexibility, unrestricted representation, variable compositions, and program-based compositions, we have found the followings: Today"s nomadic thinking can be applied to a space in a number of various ways; Case studies of nomadic flexibility revealed that, while a nomadic space and a coworking space seemed similar, they were actually quite different; and a detailed floor planning needs to be made taking zones and the line of flow into account.
