Report Errors

Social integration is an important issue because conflicts among members of a society can be intensified in a diversified social system. Serious conflicts and confronts among members of a society have a negative effect on both government trust and the effectiveness of government policies. This study explores the relationship between social integration and government trust. We assume that social integration can influence citizen trust in government. The findings show that citizens did not trust government. Integrity and fairness of government are positively associated with citizen trust in government. In addition, collaborative governance has a positive effect on citizen trust in government.
