The self-sacrifice of the Genji literature is not only related to works that depict self-sacrifice, but also works that are not so deeply related to the consciousness of underdogs. And the pursuit of happiness of the other, which Genji literally reached through the death of the city, is closely related to the life recognition of Buddhist thought. The self-sacrifice of this Genji literature is based on the consciousness and experience of Genji, but it is always based on the religious thought of Genji. The self - sacrifice is attempted in the Buddhist worldview through literary creation at various stages.
In Genji literature, the underdogs of survival competition appear in various forms and are said to receive relief from disadvantaged situations. In addition, the ceremony may be an important factor in resolving and practicing self-sacrifice. This can be confirmed by the fact that the underdog who has been alienated from the usual community in the work world plays a decisive role in relation to self-sacrifice.
The most clearly expressed concept of the top sacrifice in the Genji literature is "the biography of Kusu Kobudori". In this work, Budori is depicted like a genie of Genji. In the background, it must have had a great influence on the idea of a "dumb-gun" that has been raised in "rain". This is because, although there are differences in genre between the two works, each is a fairy tale and a poem, but the time of production is close to each other, and the idea of sacrificing the self for sacrificing the happiness of the other is realized through the Buddhism.
The end of the year"s dull thought is merely a manifestation of self-sacrifice consistent with the manifestation of the will to devote itself to pursue the happiness of the other. It is worth noting, however, that Genji showed a consistent attitude toward practicing the concept of self-sacrifice throughout his life or literature through his later years. This will can not be denied that he is closely related to the Buddhist philosophy, Buddhist thought, which he himself believed faithfully. And it can not be denied that the willingness was triggered by the pardoning of the poor farmers around.
As mentioned above, it can be seen that the concept of self-sacrifice in Genji literature is consistently pursued despite the passage of time. In addition to this, it can be seen that at the beginning, it is developing from the self-centered dimension to the other-centered dimension. The basis of such a pattern can not but be said to be the result of Kenji"s consistent consciousness toward the other, as the mushroom thought of the latter year is directed. In other words, the concept of self-sacrifice in Genji literature shows that the concept of self-sacrifice has been developed in various literary attempts to pursue the happiness of the other by starting as a part of the relief relief due
