This study aims to examine the perceptions of childcare educators who participated in the Third Accreditation Demonstration Project on the Accreditation SystemIndex and the post-management of the accredited centers The participants were 301 childcare educators(150 teachers and 151 directors) from872 childcare centers who took part in the Demonstration Project for the Third Accreditation SystemIndex in 2015. The results of the study are as follows. First, childcare educators had positive perceptions toward the Third Accreditation System Index and its implementation. Therefore, The Accreditation System should be supported to increase teachers’ competencies and invigorate the characteristics of each childcare centers. Second, most of the childcare educators agreed that the Accreditation System had been well maintained since its establishment. The educators responded that it is difficult to maintain the effect of accreditation systembecause of the overload of teachers and financial problems as well as the lack of the systematic management and professional support. The findings of the study are expected to contribute to the establishment of directions of the Third Accreditation System Index and its use as baseline data for setting up the mandatory accreditation system and the accreditation of childcare-kindergarten integration programs.
