The purpose of this study is to consider the supporting activieits of short track speed skaters’ parents, their motive & conflicts and to examine the phenomenon of educational enthusiasm. This study was conducted by applying the qualitative research. The participants were parenst of those who are currently active as a shorttrack speed skaters. Total 12 participants were selected through the purposeful sampling method. Data were collected through preliminary interviews, in-depth interviews and onsite observations & literature surveys. Obtained data were analyzed and categorized in accordance with the four-stage strategy of qualitative data analysis. The results are as follows: First, through the categorized data as skater supporting activities, it was found that the short track speed skating was a difficult sportto support without money. (Economic burden) It was necessary to take the excessive amount of time as a driver and even a large number of parents have to endure the hardships of residential movement and live as weekedn couples to support their children’s activities. Secondly, through the data categorized as the ‘Short Moms’ World’, it was found that the parents act as informants on each others and the movement of ice rink (coach) take place, through the information. There were invisible conflicts arising from the placement of their children during their exercise race, stress on the relationship between the players and the parents who spend all day together as cooperators. Third, it had been observed that although the parents serve as career guides and supporters, who guide short-track speed skating, and support children’s decision, they come together with a learning deficit which slowly occurs. Based on the results of this study, it is found that the supporting activities of short track speed skaters’parents should be studied on another level, differently from the studies of average students’sport supporting activities.
