This study had paid attention to ‘women’ who have been the symbol of margins in sports culture until now. The theme about women as a cultural studies of sports is an important process in that it creates the outline of macroscopic sports culture based on interdisciplinary studies such as sports history, sports philosophy, and sports sociology. A social philosophical study trend of women sports has been conservative standpoint, and historial study and aesthetic approach had been attempted insufficiently as feministic approach was mainly leading. In addition, ideological approach that is projected onto mass media in sports sociology has the majority for a gender cultural studies in sports humanities, and therefore efforts to combine diverse theories with sports philosophical critical minds are required. In the end, approach of extensive cultural studies in sports humanities will be an intellectual device for balance of attention by actively accepting critical minds of current women sports through bringing cultural imagination.
