The Bushi class that appeared in the medieval age was a new class that had not existed in Japan until that time. It is a well-known fact that Japan history evolved differently from the past after the appearance of these Bushi class. The wave of these new class, which give priority to military force, brought about a great wave of social, historical, and cultural events, and at the same time, a new kind of history was developed that was different from the previous history by them. These early Samurai, who are historically important have been found to be somewhat lacking till now in research. Particularly, there was little research on how the Samurai at that time showed what aspect of the area they were in accordance with the division of the area. On the basis of this problem consciousness, this study thought that observing the early Samurai by dividing them into Kansai and Kantou would be a great help in understanding the prototype of early Samurai and their aspects.
With this consciousness, this study decided to take a look at the aspects of Japan Samurai at the time by taking two texts and comparing them with each other. In particular, it aimed at focusing on the Bushi in the Kantou region that are considered to be the origin of Bushi class. This article uses "Shoumonki", which depicts the early period of the Japan Samurai class, and "Heike Monogatari", which can be regarded as the representative work of Guki Monogatari, to take a look at some aspects. To this end, this study will prove that the Japanese during the early days of the formation of Japan Samurai, had already had regional awareness divided into Kantou and Kansai. The purpose of this study is to identify what aspects differ from the common patterns they have had on them and how they show these patterns.
