Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Interactive Metronome(IM) on timing and attention for adult who stutter. The subject of study was a 29 years old woman who stutter. Methods: In this study, IM Pro 9.0 was used to improve timing and attention while receiving stuttering therapy. Timing was measured by task average in short form test of IM and attention was measured by SRO% in short form test of IM. Then, severity of stuttering were compared and analyzed through the severity of Paradise Fluency Assessment II. Results: The results of this study are as follows; First, in the P-FA-II assessment, mandatory task was severe during pre-IM intervention but moderate in IM post-intervention evaluation, and severe to moderate in optional intervention. Secondary behaviors were also improved from severe to moderate. Second, the timing capability decreased by 15ms in the Task 1 without the guidance sound (G.S / OFF) compared to the 1st session, and decreased by 23ms in the Task 2 in which the guidance sound was heard. Third, attention increased by 26% in Task 1 and 43% in the Task 2 compared to the 1st session. Conclusions: This study showed that IM is an intervention tool that improves rhythm and timing through various movements of the hands and feet as well as auditory sounds. It also improves the timing and attention of the stuttering subject, but it can not be suggested as a result of IM intervention appear. This study suggests that research on the causes of stuttering should be conducted based on this study, because there is a limit to generalizing the results of a single subject study.
