Report Errors
It is necessary to plan policies for housing stabilization of the diverse vulnerable in the modern society, such as homeless, the disabled, elderly, etc. Recently in Korea, supportive housing is concerned increasingly, therefore, the contents of the supportive housing conference where the data is dynamically exchanged should be analyzed and organized. The purpose of this study is to figure out current trends in supportive housing of New York, USA. This research is conducted by contents analysis methods and the subjects are 23 workshop programs of 17th New York supportive housing conference. 3 experts were interviewed in depth for supplement. As results, (1) diverse stakeholder recognized the importance of supportive housing, and they seek proper provision plan for needs of the vulnerable. (2) The fields for achieving progression of supportive housing are policy, development & management, organization, service, and resident. (3) Based on experience and knowledge, all the diverse people participated to distribute the knowhow with partnerships. (4) As supportive housing in New York tends to expand its target, Korean supportive housing model is possible to accept the diverse implementation. Korean supportive housing can promote quality of life of the vulnerable and community with reducing government costs.
