The museum keep generally the valuable or interesting objects that are, so called, the works of art or historical items. They say that these objects are collected, examined and displayed by the museum. But this role and function are confronted with the wave of change. It should and could extend to educating and communicating with the people in the form of exposition, activity, experience, etc.
These activities should demand the participation of people who live near museum and also visitors who live far away. It means that the museum have to connect or cooperate with people in the culture art platform.
From 2017, the museum in Gyeonggi-Do could have an opportunity as culture art platform to do diverse activities, such as festival, art market, exposition, education, etc. But to promote this culture art platform, it needs two axes : online platform and offline platform as a specific place. Each museum should or could be an offline platform and simultaneously an online platform where the people could share the information, communicate with other people, appreciate the works of art, etc.
Now, there is a homepage of Gyeonggido Museum Information of which site address is http://ggmuseum.gg.go.kr/. But this site provide only the minimum information. To promote this site as culture art platform, it needs the improvement and expansion of this site like online platform GAM(Gyeonggi Art Museum).
