The recent trend of urban regeneration has changed from the resident engagement plan to a resident initiated Maeul-mandeulgi. Based on the practice of Maeul-mandeulgi in progress, this study defined social and economic environment as resident educational programs, cultural welfare programs, village promotion programs, and events. The purpose of the study is to analyse the impact of these factors on community and life satisfaction for elderly. For conducting a structural equation model, we used Amos.23 and SPSS.24. The analysis results showed that cultural welfare programs have positive effects on the community awareness, Meanwhile village promotion programs and resident educational programs have not shown significant direct effect on the community awareness but have indirect impact on life"s satisfaction level. For restroring elderlys community awareness in Maeul-mandeulgi, it is highly recommended to consider social and economic factors, as well as to improve the physical environment.
