The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between leisure activities and delinquent friends of multicultural adolescents as focusing on the moderating effect of status deviance·violence by using hierarchical regression analysis. For this purpose, questionnaires were administered to 1,392 multicultural adolescents nationally collected from the National Youth Policy Institute in 2016 for Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study(MAPS). The results from the hierarchical analysis were as follows. First, only status deviance was found to moderate the relationship between leisure activities such as volunteer club or school club and delinquent friends of multicultural adolescents. In other words, in the group of multicultural adolescents with high levels of status deviance, as the level of delinquent friends relationship increased, the level of leisure activities gradually increased. The results indicated that status deviance can be a factor that can moderate the leisure activities of multicultural adolescents, even in the environment with a high level of delinquent friends. Second, however, violence action of multicultural adolescents was not found to moderate the relationship between leisure activities and delinquent friends. In conclusion, this study is meaningful in that it showed that leisure activities of multicultural adolescents were important variables affecting the relationship between status deviance and delinquent friend relationship.
