Korea has been converted from outflow country of labor to inflow country of labor rapidly after late 1980's and many workers from underdeveloped countries and economically low leveled developing countries have come to Korea. The class of foreigners in Korea has been diversified due to increase of marriage migrants and foreign students after 1990's. Especially the number of Muslim increased dramatically. Most of migrants in Korea are workers and most of them are Muslims from South Asia or Southeast Asia. Therefore it could be very meaningful in multi-culture discourse to understand the status of Muslims in Korean society. Migrants Muslims in Korea have made ethnic group based on their own religious and cultural environment and have kept their own collective identity. Therefore the ethnicity based on religious and cultural characteristic in the research of migrants Muslims is very important to understand the status of Muslims in Korea society.
This thesis is the first individual research of 'Acculturation and Adaptation of Migrant Muslims in the Korean Society : for the Coexistence Koslims in the Multi-Cultural Society' and it will present ethnic grouping of South Asian Muslims under the subject of influx and organization of South Asian Muslims.
