The relationship between Korea and Indonesia is getting closed. This is because the so-called Hallyu (the Korean Wave) has been widespread in Indonesian society and two countries have shared two common goals in the 21st century:green technology policy and member of G-20. Therefore,Indonesian college students are required to have a deep knowledge regarding Korean culture and politics. Among them, the problem of Korean Peninsular, which relates to military tension between South and North Korea, become a prime concern. During March-May 2009, author carried out a survey on the Korean issue to students from the Department of Korean Studies and Department of International Relations, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. On the survey, author delivered three questions: (1) why two Koreas fight each other? (2) which things do you want to know on the Korean issues? (3) what is the best way to achieve the reunification of Korean Peninsular?More than a half of total students thought that reunification of Korean Peninsular is a prime concern. Many students pointed out that main causes of conflict between two Koreas are ideological differences, nuclear bomb issue in North Korea, and societal antagonism between two Koreas. They also thought that the advancement of negotiation skills between two government officials is a key option to achieve reunification of Korean Peninsular, but, they thought, the sunshine policy is ineffective.
