UV irradiation is a great concern at a present day, because the impact of the global warming and other climatic cata- strophic factors are strongly effecting on the biological pop- ulation. Therefore, photoprotection is one of the major bio- logical concern with respect to the source of natural bioactive molecules that have anti-photoaging effect. Here, the in vivo experiments using SKH-1 hairless mouse model showed that the oral administration of rosemary and citrus mixture extracts can reduce the skin photocarcinogenesis, suggesting that the combination of rosemary and citrus extracts has the photopro- tective mechanisms with a strong cosmeceutical and pharma- ceutical value. From this result, it is worthwhile to state that the anti-pho- toaging and the photoprotective effects of the combination of rosemary and citrus extracts can pave a way for newer and novel products in the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical industry
