Report Errors
The purpose of this study was to examine the positive and negative feelings of Taekwondo in the past Olympics by using social big data analysis. For this blogs, cafes, intellectuals(tips), news, and web documents provided by Naver and Daum were selected as analysis channels. The main Keywords for searching big data data were ‘Olympic / Taekwondo’. The analysis period of the data was limited to 2 months after for the 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympic Games opening month. Data collection and analysis were conducted through text mining and sentiment analysis through the social matrix program textom. First, keywords related to positive emotions for the 2004 Athens <good>, <interest>, <interesting>, <expectation>, <popularity>. On the contrary, keywords related to negative emotions were such as <exit>, <sadness>, <no fun>, <crisis>, <frustration>. Second, keywords related to positive emotions for the 2008 Beijing Olympic/Taekwondo <good>, <best>, <interesting>, <impression>, <support> On the contrary, keywords related to negative emotions were such as <assault>, <exclusion>, <depression>, <crisis>, <not interesting>. Third, keywords related to positive emotions for the 2012 London <good>, <support>, <expectation>, <fun>, <best>. On the contrary, keywords related to negative emotions were such as <controversy>, <nosh>, <ridicule>, <exclusion>, <depression>. Fourth, keywords related to positive emotions for the 2016 Rio Olympic/Taekwondo were <good>, <cheer>, <fun>, <enthusiast item>, <success>. On the contrary, keywords related to negative emotions were such as <exit>, <sadness>, <frustration>, <impact>, <no fun>.
