It is necessary to understand the classification and phylogeny of animals to recognize animal diversity systematically. However, rapid development of molecular biology let taxonomy be far from interesting in research. This trend also appeared in middle and high school classroom. Students skip taxonomic area or briefly go it over. In this study, we tried to develop a field trip program for middle school students to study animal taxonomy using marine animals. To be a successful field trip education, it is very important to select proper location and develop elaborate program. So our research goal is first to introduce proper location for field trip program, which should show diverse animals and be easy to approach it, and secondly to develop taxonomy flied trip program using marine animals, which will be used for middle school students to learn basic concept on the taxonomy. Especially this program contain information about habitat of animals. The middle school students that participated in this program showed strong enthusiasm on studying animal classification and successfully classified marine animals at level of phylum and class, indicating that this program can be a model system for taxonomy field trip education.
