This paper focuses on Chi Qing in Qian Nv You Hun(倩女幽魂) film. But it first researches the meaning of Chi Qing, and investigates the Chi Qing in Liao Zhai Zhi Yi(聊齋志異). After that, this paper starts to analyse the Chi Qing in Qian Nv You Hun film. Qian Nv You Hun(倩女幽魂) is a very famous chinese ghost film. It is originated from chinese ancient novel Nie Xiao Qian of Liao Zhai Zhi Yi. But the film is not just a follow of Nie Xiao Qian. The film changed the characteristics of Nie Xiao Qian characters, especially Ning Cai Chen(寧采臣)the hero of the novel. Ning Cai Chen in the novel is just a flat character having no personality, but in this film the producer endowed him with a very interesting and lovable characteristic such as purity and virtuous mind. Besides the most important thing is that the hero in the film is full of Chi Qing. Chi Qing is a kind of personality which is very different from things of ordinary people. The people having Chi Qing are usually not understood by general people but they often have superhuman purity and good and humanity. As a chinese unique phenomenon of literature Chi Qing, the film found its importance and inspired its value. And that is why so large audience still remember and love the film.
