The purpose of this paper is to clarify the important role of resultative costruction which leads to English Accomplishment. The examination of resultative construction with AP predicate which leads to the accomplishment constructions is central to my paper. So the relation is established in this study between the accomplishment structures and the resultative constructions. I will focus on the point that is relevant to the domain of resultative constructions. This study uses Event Semantics as the apparatus of analyzing English resultative constructions among the accomplishment structures. In most cases, the feature of resultative constructions is in the presence of a result XP which denotes a state or location in it. There are several factors which affect English accomplishment such as the verbs, the object of sentence. In addition to these factors, the resultative constructions also have an important effect on the English accomplishment. This research will go through not syntactic but pure semantic analysis in order to develop on semantics’ own view.
