The purpose of this research is to analyze trend of dance performances by genre and change of influences on total numbers of performances. The data was collected from Korea Arts Council's Culture and Arts Yearbook. And the quantitative trend of dance genre performance was analyzed and its changes of influence on total performance numbers were analyzed by standard multiple regression analysis. Total performance numbers in 2006 was more than 15 times of that in early 1980s. It has been increased since the mid of 1980s due to government subsidy started in 1985. Its rapid increase was continued to the mid of 1990s and recorded over 2000 performances. However, it had been decreased approximately to 1500 performances in early 2000s, and it has been recovered 2000 performances since 2005. The number of Korean traditional dance performance was relatively low, however, increased in the mid and late 1990s, decreased in early 2000s, and has been increased since 2003 again. Trend of modern dance was similar to that of Korean traditional dance. Trend of Korean creative dance showed relative stability except it has slightly weakened since 2003 due to increase of multiple genres, and trend of ballet was similar to that of Korean creative dance. While multiple/etc has been rapidly increased since the "Year of New Arts" of 2000 and became one of main genres. Changes of each genre' influences on the total performance numbers indicated same results. The influences of Korean traditional dance, modern dance, and multiple/etc have been increased since 1990. And those have been more increased since 1998.
