The purpose of this study is to construct the valid scale of improvisational dance, and analyze goodness-of-fit using IRT(Item Response Theory). The professors studying improvisational dance constructed the scale in content validity. The scale constructed as the evidence based on content was 35 items. This study was analyzed in 6 facets(gender, position, major, experience, career, and item) by using Facets program (Linacre, 2000) for the goodness-of-fit. As a result, the gender facet was appraised male has more stern than female when assessing the improvisational dance. The position facet was appraised the high position, professor is more charitable than others. The major facet was appraised the modern dance is more stern than others, ballet and korean dance. The experience facet evaluated of improvisational dance was appraised that the no experience is more stern than the experience. The career facet is also appraised that examinees who have 30-40 years career have more benign than others. Among the 35 items constructed as the evidence based on content in this study, 34, 28, 29, 18, 27 have high logit meaning important items, and 32, 20, 23, 6, 1 were adopted as unimportant items. As significant goodness-of-fit index, 12, 31, and 35 items were not suitable in this study.
