The purpose of this study is to examine the factors of residential satisfaction and characteristics of university dormitory by an analysis of crime anxiety and questionnaire survey. The results of this study are as follows. First, the residents" satisfaction was related to lighting and ventilation, soundproofing and privacy protection. Second, it is inferred that the perceived crime anxiety by space was high in outer space, which appeared to be an environmental factor lacking the protection of external space. An analysis of the satisfaction and importance of the residential environment revealed the need for improvements in building facilities and safety factors.
